Authentic Thai Recipes for Everyone

Ucancookthai.com is inspired by my need to cook authentic Thai dishes for my family while we are away from our home country, Thailand. Being in a foreign place, it is difficult to find all the Thai ingredients necessary to use in original Thai Recipes. I have to adapt the recipes to use local ingredients while still maintaining the authentic Thai taste. Since most Thai restaurants also serve dishes in Western flavors, it further inspired me to practice my skill and technique to cook real Thai foods without complicated ingredients. Through many trials and errors, I came up with easy to cook, yet authentic food recipes that used local ingredients that I would like to share with anyone who is away from home or foreigner who like to learn how to cook Thai foods. You'll realize that cooking Thai dishes is not as difficult or as complicated as you think.

Easy Thai Recipes organized by food categories

The content of this website is organized based on the main category of foods. Each recipe will accompany by details pictures of ingredients and step by step cooking process. Since I prefer a mild food taste, my recipes will likely to reflect this preference. So if you like spicier taste, please feel free to make any adjustment to suit your own taste. Thecooking ingredients used in my recipes is based on what available in my area which is Richmond, Canada. However, it should be useful as a guideline for others who live in another country too since I will provide a detail pictures of how the ingredients will look like.
