Spicy Ground Pork Dip

Yummy dipping sauce made from ground pork called "Nam Phrik Mu Sap"

Ingredients 300 g. ground pork 1 shallot 5-6 cloves garlic 2 Tbsp tamarind paste 2 Tbsp fish sauce 1 ½ Tbsp sugar 2 tsp ground chilies 1 Tbsp lime juice 1/8 cube chicken broth ½ cup water |
Preparation
1. Peel garlic and shallot, wash dirt, pat dry and cut into small pieces.

2. Put garlic and shallot in a fry pan, dry fry until fragrant and soften.

3. Well pound dry fried ingredients in a mortar.

4. Pour ¼ cup water in a pot, bring to boil on medium heat, add ground pork, stir frequently until the pork is getting cook.

5. Drain cooked ground pork and put in the mortar that has well pound ingredients (don’t’ throw away pork soup), pound all ingredients together.

6. Put pounded ingredients in the pot, add ¼ cup water, bring to boil on medium heat, then add chicken broth cube.

7. Stir well, then season with tamarind paste, fish sauce, sugar and ground chilies.

8. Stir all ingredients thoroughly. When boiled, turn off the stove, add lime juice, stir well and taste for your own favor.

9. Put spicy ground pork dip in a bowl, garnish with sliced kaffir lime leaves and chilies, and then serve with fresh vegetable such as carrot and romaine lettuce.
